Some times you get stuck…

Ugh!! My amazing niece challenged me to draw a Buffalo themed mandala saying she would “buy that so hard”. I take on challenges drawing things from time to time and thought I was up for this one. I had a general idea of what I wanted. Drew out my circle grid and bottom portion then BAM…mental block.

I took my original drawing and made it into a digital version so I could test out some of my ideas easier. I drawn perogis and cheerios and wings and erased perogis and cheerios and wings (why when I think of my hometown area all I think of is food?!?! Well…food and family). Nothing looked good to me or Sam. Yes, I asked for a second opinion at one point since I hated everything I drew. Veto!!

So for now, my dear niece, you'll have to wait to “buy it so hard” until I get inspired and draw something good. Maybe next week I'll get unstuck.
